Healtcare in Kenya

The Kenya Project partner Provide International has since its start in 1986 gained experience in community based approach to reproductive health, mother and child care, orphans, vulnerable children and HIV/AIDS patients. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to experience first hand how the medical personnell at Provide International carry out their work; from educational activities to community groups - to emergency operations.

The number of physicians in Kenya has not changed in decades, and there are continous reports that hospitals are understaffed and lack proper training and equipment. The Kenyan government rely on private initiatives such as Provide International to carry out health services in slum areas.
