Q: Who are you?
A: We are a group of volunteers based in Bergen, Norway, who primarly works with student exchange togehter with Provide International based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Kenya Project is a part of The M
 
Q: What does Provide Internation do?
A: Provide International owns and manages a number of medical clinics in the slums of Nairobi. The clinics provide basic medical services to about 1.5 million people. For more information, see their website provideinternational.net/

Q: Who can apply?
A: All students studying health sciences who is a citizen of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland or Finland, This means that also citizens of countries who study abroad can go (e.g. studying in Eastern Europe).
Q: Where can I find the application form?
A: You can find it here. Please fill in all the data and then click "Submit".
Q: Why do I have to enter obscure information from an image at the bottom of the form?
A: This is to reduce the number of spam we recive.

4. Practical Information before you go

Q: Where can I find good source of information about visiting Kenya
A: It is recomended to buy a travel guide (e.g. Lonely Planet) to bring with you. The inernet is of course a rich source of information, you could for instance check out Wikitravel. Learning some basic Swahili phrases is highly  recomended.

Q: Is Nairobi safe?
A: Nairobi is a dangerous city, but if you take precautions there is no need to be worried. Don’t walk alone in the dark, if you want to walk in the slums - ask a Provide staff to walk with you, and don’t walk around with visible money and valuables in the slums. Q: Do I need a VISA for entering Kenya?
A: Yes, you'll bee needing a "One Time VISA" which can be bought at the airport for 25 USD (April 2009).
Q: How much do I need to pay for my stay?
A: Except paying 1000 Ksh per day for transportation and the food given at the clinics, you are not obligned to donate anything else to Provide. But we highly recomend that you do so.
